Instead of composting only selected kitchen waste, our All-waste Kitchen Composter allows you to turn all food waste - including cooked foods - into fantastic nutrient-rich material. It's a great way to reduce your domestic waste and do your garden some good simultaneously.
Just pop your waste into the air-tight 18L container along with the compost activator, which is a bran-based material made with a culture of friendly micro-organisms that speeds up fermentation. The liquid feed produced is alive with beneficial microbes and can be drained off and diluted as a plant feed or poured down drains to prevent algae build up and odours. The process does not produce smells or attract flies so the container can be safely kept in the kitchen.
Please note: The Kitchen Waste Composter holds on average 2 weeks worth of food waste, which will take approximately 2 weeks to break down. Therefore we recommend that 2 of these composters are purchased to be used simultaneously. Also note that the material produced can be put straight onto a compost heap or into a deep trench to finish decomposing.

Q: Are the microbes worm friendly as I'm looking for something to break down cooked food so I can add it to my wormery without attracting rats?
A: Hi, waste from the All Waste Kitchen Composter when left for the correct amount of time may not need to be added to a wormery, it will be suitable for use as compost straight away. If, however, you did want to add this waste to your wormery, we expect it to be perfectly safe - as waste from the Kitchen Composter is safe to add to soil straight away, without harming plants or any of the creatures in the soil.
